How it works:

New pickup location for Sacramento customers, later hours! - You will pick up your flowers every Wednesday from Superette Market, from 11 am-6 pm. The bouquets are all the same, feel free to choose whichever one you’d like.

If you are unable to make it on a given week, you are welcome to send a friend in your place. If you have any issues, please contact me directly.

For Woodland customers - We will be hosting porch pickup at the farm in Woodland. Please note that our farm is not open to the public and this is generally a self-serve style pickup.

Is this a gift? If you indicate this is a gift during check out, I will email you a printable card for your recipient.

The Flowers: We typically sell most of our lisi to our florist customers, so this special edition of our CSA was dreamed up by us as a way to get these beloved flowers into your homes. Lisianthus are our summer specialty and probably our favorite flower to grow. They look delicate and can be fussy in the field, but they are nearly indestructible in the vase. Long vase life and many blooms per stem makes them one of our very favorites to put all around the house. We grow over 20 different colors, and have learned which series and varieties respond best to our growing conditions after 7 years of working with them.

Lisi can be tricky to grow. They are extremely slow growers and are very sensitive to wet conditions. They grow best with a slow, cool start so we plant them out in February, and have to take extra precautions to ensure that they don’t succumb to wilt or fungal disease during the wet season. We plant them closer together than any other plant in our field - in a 2”x2” grid - and pack thousands of plants into about 400 ft of bed space. All of this extra care is worth it come July, when their beautiful flowers unfurl. Stewarding these plants is a craft and so rewarding.

We hope you’ll join us in taking part in the bounty of summer - its a time of abundance and we think flowers are a beautiful way of celebrating and observing the changing seasons.

Our flowers are grown without the use of pesticides, tillage, or any practices that hurt our surrounding ecosystem or riparian zone. We use practices that focus on nourishing soil health and providing forage and habitat for wildlife, working with nature instead of trying to eradicate its presence. The quality of the flowers reflects the care they’re tended to with.
